Privacy is a product requirement.

Private manuscript workspace

Authenticated students may upload DOCX and PDF manuscripts to a private Azure Blob Storage workspace. Manuscripts, extracted chunks, structured revision proposals, student decisions, and generated revised documents are isolated by the authenticated account, workspace, and document. They are retained until the student deletes or replaces the source manuscript, or until the configured retention period expires. They are not used for model training.

Coach conversations and research plans

Conversation history and research-planner tasks are retained for continuity within the authenticated workspace. Students should not submit participant identifiers, protected health information, confidential employer information, or content their institution prohibits sharing with AI services.

AI and shared knowledge

The application retrieves the active private manuscript first, approved administrator-managed dissertation knowledge second, and general research guidance third. Azure OpenAI requests use the App Service managed identity and store=false. Students do not need an OpenAI, ChatGPT, or Azure account.

What we do not log

Operational logs exclude manuscript text, extracted content, private prompts, model responses, passwords, access tokens, cookies, secrets, private Blob paths, and payment information.

Billing and account metadata

Stripe processes payments. The application retains account, consent, subscription, entitlement, aggregate usage, security, audit, workspace, document, conversation, and planner metadata required to operate the service.

Your choices

Students can replace or delete the active manuscript from Manuscript Review and can manage billing through the Stripe portal. Contact the service operator for account access or deletion requests, subject to applicable legal retention requirements.
